Hotlicks Guitar Shop

New - Click the Blog Spot link for a more up-to-date site...  Maryland’s best retail store, Hotlicks is where I got my start in retail over 25 years ago.  They carry all the major lines, with prices that are FAR better than the chains and online stores—and have unsurpassed customer service. Call Gene, Store Manager, 301-843-2799 and…tell him "Buddy Holly" sent you.

de Erro Guitars

Web site of Martin Miranda, my extraordinary tech, and friend of the past 7 years.  He is introducing his own line of guitars, all hand-made, and also offers his superb set-up and repair service.  His work is the best I've seen in my 25 years in the music business, as any of our customers will attest.  Check it out!

Ace Guitars

AUSTRALIAN BUYERS:  Ace Guitars (formerly North Coast), owned by my personal friend, Peter, has a great selection of vintage and utility guitars and amps.  He’s also one of the nicest guys I’ve met in the guitar business.  You gotta check him out.

www.VintageKramer.com

Great site by Mike Wolverton devoted to this legendary brand from the 80’s.  Contains all the info you’ll ever need, including pics, history, EVH’s 5150 guitars, and a very active user Forum.  If you’re a Kramer fan you gotta check this out.

Brian Goff's Ebay store, "Bizarre Guitars." Brian always seems to be able to find some of the more rare and unusual guitars on the net and has great prices on NOS and utility guitars of all brands.

One of my favorite buddies from shows and one of the fairest sellers you'll come across. Check out Jim's site for guitars for the discriminating buyer, including limited edition Fenders and Gibsons, and other unique pieces.  Jim is now an authorized Fender Custom Shop dealer and his selection is first rate.

GuitarsAndEffects.com

…of Bowie, Maryland.  My very good friend Nat has one of the best selections around with a nice selection of higher-end vintage guitars as well as moderately priced recent models.  Without the expense of a storefront operation, Nat can give offer great gear at great prices.  I’ve been dealing with Nat for over 15 years and can attest to his knowledge of guitars and his uncommonly good customer service.

It might seem odd for me to link in my "competition" but as we're 95% mail order, they're really in a different business.  The best local store in the Albany NY area.  If you're not one for the super-stores with walls full of identical guitars, you'll find these guys refreshing.  The sell a wide variety of new lines and a huge used inventory that changes daily.  They also have knowledgeable staff who have been there for years, rather than kids who rotate in and out monthly.  Check them out at http://www.parkwaymusic.com/ or call 518.383.0300.  Tell 'em Chris sent you!

Valley Arts Guitars

This site is maintained by Martin Miranda, my extraordinary tech, and friend of the past 7 years.  He is, perhaps, the world's authority on pre-Samick VA's, having worked at VA when they were simply a retail store and after they introduced the VA guitar he was appointed international sales manager.  This site is a wealth of information on history and literature and even has a registry and forum.  All VA fans should check it out.
